Maximilian Schwarz is a 23-year-old photographer and artist from Hamburg, Germany. He has always had a great interest in painting and fashion and had managed to combine both worlds through photography. In early 2023, he graduated with a bachelor of arts in design from the Technical University of Nuremberg.
In an aesthetic and emotional process, he designs elaborate artworks. To break out of the digital medium of contemporary photography, he gets back to creating art with different mediums in an analogue way. He found his own mixed-media style by using materials such as gouache paint, pastel chalk, water and dried flowers.
It is important to him to take up socially relevant topics such as mental health or queer topics with his photography.
He works as a freelance photographer for clients, magazines and advertising. His work was published in Cap74024, Contributor Magazine, Fguk Magazine, Fucking Young!, Harper's Bazaar Vietnam, Kaltblut, Numéro Netherlands and Sicky.
